Donation made to art program in memory of late teacher
The Carbon County School District Board of Trustees approved a donation made by John H. Perue Living Trust in memory of John’s late wife Linda Fisher-Perue.
The trust donated $1,000 for the Saratoga Middle High School (SMHS) Art Program.
The donation is for purchase of supplies and equipment.
Fisher-Perue was the art teacher at SMHS from 1993 to 2014.
John Perue said people made donations in memory of Fisher-Perue when she passed away in April. He decided to use that money in memory of his late wife for the art program. Perue knew the struggles the art program had in getting supplies for the program because of a limited budget. While teaching, Fisher-Perue depended on parents and friends to help with supplies.
