Serving the Platte Valley since 1888
PVHH taking orders until November 16, no sit-down option this year
Platte Valley Helping Hands will continue to provide their Annual Free Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner this year. The PVHH Board decided to eliminate their sit-down dinner gathering to protect those they serve from possible exposure to a variety of illnesses that spread during this time of year.
For the past 28 years the PVHH has prepared and served meals to residents of the Valley. The traditional Thanksgiving dinner is complete with turkey, dressing, potatoes & gravy, ham, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, rolls and pumpkin pie. Delivery will be between 11:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. and is delivered by volunteers.
To receive this delicious free meal, people must call and reserve a meal by 6 p.m. Saturday November 16. Calls will be received by Lori Erhart 307-345-0365 and Shelly Davis 307-321-3040. Helping Hands expects to prepare 200 meals, so please call early to guarantee you will receive a meal.
The free dinner is made possible through monetary donations received from last year’s dinner and generous donations of food by local businesses and individuals. Platte Valley Helping Hands is a non-profit Wyoming Corporation since 1996, with a seven-member Volunteer Board established to sere an sick and suffering in the Platte Valley. Current board members are Jamie Campbell, Shelly Davis, Crissy Blocker, Wanda Snell, JoDell Hone, Marilyn Verplancke, and Susan Dyer
