Lady Tigers head to Regionals Friday

Encampment enters tournament as No. 3 seed, will face Burlington Lady Huskies

The Encampment Lady Tigers are going to State Regionals as a 3rd seed in the Southwest Conference.

With a record of 5-4 in the conference and 9-7 overall, the girls have a chance to get a spot in the state bracket, but they will have to get past the Burlington Lady Huskies first.

The top four teams of the 1A West Regionals go to the state championship in Casper, November 8-10.

The 1A West Conference is held in Lander and Encampment will play the Lady Huskies (7-2) (15-9) at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.

The Encampment Tigers played against the Lady Huskies in the KayCee Tournament October 12 and won one set of three. The Lady Huskies were undefeated at the time in their own conference.

Since the KayCee tournament, the Lady Huskies have lost two conference games - one to Riverside Lady Rebels and and one to the Dubois Lady Rams. The Lady Tigers have had a win against each of them during the KayCee tournament earlier this month.

The Lady Huskies, with those two losses, are the 2nd seed in the Northwest Conference.

Little Snake River Lady Rattlers are 1st seed in the Southwest Conference and play the 4th seed Meeteetse Lady Longhorns from the Northwest Conference.

The winners of the two matches will play each other at 9 p.m. Friday.
