Encampment FFA Notes

Encampment FFA held a member meeting on September 25, 2024, at 6:30 PM. Ag Advisor Mandy Westerman prepared chili and cornbread, with officers serving the 23 attending members. The meeting focused on electing committees for Fundraising, Community Service, Meeting Planning, and the Halloween Carnival. We also reviewed our performance in the Horse and Livestock Judging Contest held on September 18, 2024. Overall our Horse Judging Team placed second. In Horse Judging, Kannon Gilbert placed 8th, Raden Miller 10th, Kyenna Jackson 17th, Caleb Koehn 24rd, and Hayden Suttee 36th. In Livestock Judging, Kristie Jordan finished 27th, Gentrie Meyer 55th, Tate Zeller 70th, Korbyn Barkhurst 76th and Cloey Boxberger 86th. Notably, our Junior Class also placed with Mesa Suttee 1st place and Lexi Vorn 3rd place in Horse Judging. Our Junior Livestock Judging Contestant, Kellan Swanson placed 36th. We discussed upcoming meetings and events, including our planned Fruit and Meat Sales in November and Christmas Tree sales in December. On October 2, 2024, we will attend the Cowboy Classic in Laramie for Ag Mech, Wool, Meats, and Agronomy contests with many members attending. Our September meeting also served as a Community Service Project, where we made cookies and cards for the Saratoga Nursing Home and the Encampment Senior Center. Our next member meeting is scheduled for October 30, 2024, at 6:30 PM in the Ag Building.
