Lady Panthers have mixed results at 1A Jamboree, coach says team close to finding they way

The Lady Panthers were co-hosts for the weekend 2024 1A Volleyball Jamboree.

“I want to say that I am proud of my team. We are growing each match and I feel like we are closer to finding the best combination on the floor,” said Head Coach Shayley Love.

The Panthers started the competition against Lingle-Fort Laramie, Riverside, and Hulett on Friday, September 13.

The first day stats of highest performers are as follows:

Saratoga vs. Lingle Fort-Laramie — (1-2)

Addie Collins - 6 kills; Cassidy Herring - 3 aces; Sophie Diaz -3 successful blocks; Madi Johnson - 13 digs; Allie Condict - 13 assists; Madi Johnson - 13 service receptions.

Saratoga vs. Riverside — (0-2)

Cassidy Herring - 4 kills; Sophie Diaz - 5 successful blocks; Allie Condict - 8 digs; Allie Condict - 8 assists; Madi Johnson - 6 service receptions.

Saratoga vs. Hulett — (2-0)

Josie Little - 5 kills; Madi Johnson - 2 aces; Josie Little - 2 successful blocks; Madi Johnson 15 digs; Allie Condict - 10 assists; Madi Johnson - 5 service receptions.

Love said “We are growing each match and I feel like we are closer to finding the best combination on the floor.”

After battling a Valley wide power outage, the Lady Panthers continued the weekend against Southeast and Kaycee on Saturday, September 14.

The second day stats of highest performers are below:

Saratoga vs. Southeast — (0-2)

Addie Collins - 6 kills; Addie Collins - 6 successful blocks; Madi Johnson - 11 digs; Allie Condict - 9 assists; Madi Johnson - 19 service receptions.

Saratoga vs. Kaycee — (1-1)

Addie Collins - 4 kills; Cassidy Herring - 3 assists; Addie Collins - 4 successful blocks; Madi Johnson - 14 digs; Allie Condict - 6 assists; Josie Little - 7 service receptions.

Love said, “We have had some solid competition and now we know what we need to do to continue getting better each week.”

The Lady Panthers will have hosted Encampment at 5:00 p.m. in Saratoga on Tuesday, September 17.

The next competition will be on the road in Thermopolis, Wyoming on Friday and Saturday, September 20 and 21.
