Beverly (Bev) Ann Russell

Bev was born on February 1, 1941 in Laramie, Wyoming to Riley and Ruby Daniels. She joined a brother, Arthur, at home in Rawlins, Wyoming.

After graduating from Rawlins High School, Bev moved to Cheyenne where she met Tom Zator. They were married and moved to Connecticut. Together they had two daughters, Teri and Brenda. In 1972, they divorced. Bev and the girls moved to Green River, Wyoming to be with family. In the summer of 1972, Bev, Teri and Brenda moved to Encampment. She worked as a waitress until she met the love of her life, Blain Russell. Shortly after, they were married. Blain had 6 children from a previous marriage. In 1978, they welcomed a daughter, Libby. In the early 1980s, Bev and Blain opened the Grand Encampment Cafe.

Bev enjoyed spending time with her family, whether it be in the mountains camping, fishing or hunting or get togethers at home. She never knew a stranger, everyone was always welcome in her home.

Bev passed away on June 11, 2024 at the age of 83 with family by her side. She is preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Ruby Daniels; her husband, Blain; and her daughters, Libby and Tina; son, Jimmy and brother, Arthur. She is survived by her children; Teri Burch, Brenda Schwartzkopf, Gloria Mann, Billy Russell, Doug and Danny Russell as well as lots of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A small celebration of life was held Saturday, August 17, in the mountains with family and friends.
