Panthers See 10 Return To Gridiron

Under head coach Jared Mason, Panther looks to improve in 9-Man program this season

Heading into the 2024 season, Saratoga Panthers has 10 returning players filling out their deep bench of 17. Under new head coach Jared Mason, the 9-Man program is focused on becoming a more improved team.

Senior Allyster Ingraham is joined by juniors Burris Berger, Hazen Williams and Newt Williams. Sophomores Easton Mason, Griffin Bartlett, Jace Westring, Ben Miller and Brent Drake round out the returning players. Also suiting up this year is senior Skylar Wood.

Last year, the Panthers finished 7th place in the 9-Man East with a 2-5 conference record and a 2-6 overall record. Mason said the first week of practice went well and believes his team is ready for the season.

“We are off to an exciting start,” Mason said. “I’m seeing lots of positive energy, hard work and learning. I’m confident we will be a competitive team this season.”

Mason said his coaching staff has been working to help the team improve its fundamentals since the first day of practice.

“During practices, our coaching staff teaches all the players their jobs on offense and defense,” Mason said. “I have great coaches who will work to help players reach their potential.”

Mason said his coaches are working to rebuild from last season and are seeking leadership from all grade levels.

“I have a great coaching staff with Logan Wright and Vince Vannett,” Mason said. “We’ll work hard to be well-prepared for every game and build on the momentum from the end of last year. We play in a tough conference. It is hard to know specifically what challenges lie ahead. I believe this team has the mindset to overcome and compete.”
