Wolf down these dishes

Hotel Wolf provides variety of options in a rustic setting

The Hotel Wolf brings a classic fine dining experience with a western theme to downtown Saratoga.

The historic hotel and restaurant provides a wide variety of meals for both lunch and dinner.

For lunch, burgers reign supreme. Each burger patty is made in-house, ensuring juiciness and quality. The Wyoming Whiskey Burger provides a great option, served with an excellent barbeque sauce and bacon. The sauce and bacon gives a one-two-punch of flavor and crunchiness.

Moving into sandwiches, the Spicy Chicken Sanie is a must have. A spicy breaded chicken breast topped with bacon, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato and ranch dressing, each bite provides some heat without being overwhelming.

To start the dinner meal, appetizers such as the Old School Mushrooms are a must-have. The Old School Mushrooms are sauteed in a pan with roasted garlic shallot butter and bleu cheese and served with a side of crostinis. This appetizer is excellent, with the earthiness of the mushrooms pairing perfectly to the warm butter and bleu cheese. Piling the mushrooms on top of the bread creates a crunchy toast you won’t be able to get enough of.

Of course, the most well known item on the menu is the Prime Rib. The Prime Rib is seasoned and slow roasted daily, and served with a side of au jus. The seasoning on the meat is wonderful and especially prominent around the edges. Dipping each bite in au jus ensures the most out of the meal, providing a rich flavor that will leave you wanting more.

Other steaks provide excellent options as well. Every steak is cut in-house and comes with a variety of addons for toppings. Getting your steak with a Saratoga Style rub provides an excellent seasoning that makes your taste buds rejoice with every juicy bite.

For sides, the house-made fries are a go-to. Perfectly seasoned and fresh out of the fryer, they provide a classic and simple accompaniment to any meal. Each entree also comes with a trip through the soup and salad bar.

Finally, the Wolf provides a fantastic variety of deserts to conclude any meal. The Hotel Wolf’s Famous Cheesecake has a dense texture that provides the perfect vehicle for the variety of toppings offered. Whether it’s topped with blueberries, cherries, strawberries, chocolate, caramel, berry medley or just plain, the cheesecake is always a delicious treat.

For another fantastic desert option, Edge’s Pan Cookie Sundae is a comfort option that feels like a warm hug. A thick chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla ice cream, pretzels and whipped cream, this sweet and salty treat can do no wrong.
