“The kids came to today's game hyped up and ready to go,” Spaulding said. “We have been working all week and the momentum was here for our first time having an all-star game on a new little league field and we wanted to take it and bring it home.”
Spaulding said Johnston was ready and fired up. He said he was beyond impressed with his performance.
“Trayton came through and he was battling hard,” Spaulding said. “He wanted to pitch a shutout and we finally got him one.”
