A 307 out of 10

A food review on the 307 Pub and Grubs Bacon Cheeseburger

The 307 Pub and Grub is a restaurant that does lunch and breakfast in Encampment. The restaurant has a very warm cabin-like atmosphere which made me feel right at home.

Complementing the environment was a very charming local feel which made you feel even more welcome. I chose to order their bacon cheeseburger which is made with local beef provided, at this time, by Zeller Cattle with a side of housemade chips. All together, this cost $17.

I received my meal in a very timely manner paired with excellent attentive service. I have eaten at the 307 Pub and Grub many times and the service has never disappointed. This time was no different. The chips were absolutely delicious. They were crisp and freshly fried and far surpassed any bag of chips you can get at the grocery store. The burger was even more enjoyable.

The patty was plenty juicy and had a fantastic flavor that can only come from locally sourced beef and a good cook. The lettuce was fresh and crisp and the cheese was perfectly melted to the patty. Each of the ingredients were of the utmost quality. With a burger this good, it is more than worth its price point. The inclusion of local beef really makes them stand out.

According to part-owner Jennifer Cuningham, they chose to do local beef because it made sense for the restaurant's business model and also to support local ranchers. She goes on to say that returning the support to the community that supports them is extremely important to them and they are very grateful to be in the Encampment community.

They make each of their meals with love and passion for what they do which Jennifer attributes the fantastic taste of their food from. I highly encourage anyone who is craving a spectacular cheeseburger to go on down to the 307 Pub and Grub and enjoy the atmosphere, the people, the superb service, the great pricing and, of course, the excellent meals.
