Following an investigation, Saratoga Police Department cites tractor-trailer traffic as reason behind collision near Saratoga Hot Springs Resort
Following a collision near the Saratoga Hot Springs Resort, an investigation by the Saratoga Police Department determined the incident was caused by tractor-trailer traffic in the area.
On May 31, around 9:40 a.m., the Saratoga Police Department received a report of a traffic collision on Pic Pike Road. According to SPD Chief Mike Morris, officers arrived on the scene and found that a pickup truck driven by an area resident had collided with a fence.
“The driver of the truck reported they had been driving eastbound on Pic Pike and had swerved to avoid a tractor-trailer that had turned wide into their lane,” Morris said. “The collision caused significant damage to both the fence and pick-up truck. There were no injuries reported.”
Morris said he is asking witnesses to come forward
“No other extenuating circumstances are believed to have been a factor in the collision,” Morris said. “The tractor-trailer involved was not on the scene and has not been identified.”
