Platte Valley students earn honors at Chadron State College

Seventy-seven candidates for graduate degrees were honored at Chadron State College’s Winter Commencement at 2 p.m. Dec. 15 in the Chicoine Center.

CSC announces students on the President’s List

Chadron State College has announced 365 names on the President’s List. A cumulative grade point average of at least is required for the academic honor. To qualify, students must also be enrolled in 12 credit hours of coursework, be seeking their first bachelor’s degree, and have no incomplete grades during the semester. Two students from Encampment, and one from Rawlins, were among those recognized.

Chadron State College, which was founded in 1911, is the only four-year, regionally-accredited college in the western half of Nebraska. As a public institution with its roots in teacher education, Chadron State takes pride in its accessibility and affordability. More than 2,000 undergraduate, graduate and online students currently attend Chadron State.
