Lynn Finney

Lynn C. Finney of Riverside, Wy. passed away on Saturday the 2nd of December 2023 at Spirit West River Lodge at the age of 83.

Lynn was born in Saratoga on October 18th, 1940, and graduated valedictorian in 1958 from Encampment High School.

She then attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie. Her desire to see the world took her to Chicago as a flight attendant for Ozark Air Lines for six years. In 1965 she met and married R.G. Finney, a paratrooper stationed at Ft. Bragg. In 1969 Lynn gave birth to Sean and in 1971 to Ryan.

The family moved from Colorado Springs, Co. to Atlanta, Ga. to Ft. Worth, Tx. where Lynn worked as a health spa manager finally settling in Encampment where she was involved with aerobics, gymnastics, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, community choir, republican women, gold medalist cyclist (senior olympics) and owner of Spirit West River Lodge.

She will be sadly missed by her husband R.G., her son Sean and his wife Jennifer, her son Ryan, granddaughters Shiann, Ashley and many friends all over the world.

Lynn was preceded in death by her mother Beatrice Phillips and father Vern Phillips.

A celebration of life will be scheduled in the summer of 2024.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Casada Funeral Home & Crematory in Rawlins, Wyoming.
