William Craig, age 66 of Encampment, Wyoming passed away on November 5, 2023.
Bill was born in Rawlins, Wyoming and grew up in the Saratoga area, between the Brush Creek and Pick Bridge Ranches. He worked for the Town of Encampment for 27 years in multiple roles as a Police Officer, Head of Maintenance and most recently on the Town Council. He also served in the volunteer fire department. Bill also worked as an operator for Sinclair for the past 12 years.
Bill loved spending time outdoors in Wyoming – fishing, exploring the mountains and taking naps under trees. He enjoyed working on old motors and old tools in his shop. His grandchildren were very special to him, and he treasured spending time with them. Bill enjoyed seeing his friends laugh and had such a joyful disposition to life that will be missed.
Bill is survived by his three sons, Joshua, Zachary and Wyatt; two granddaughters, Adeline and Harper Jo; his mother, Iva Craig; brother Bob Craig; and two sisters, Cathy Weststring and Connie Powell. He was preceded by his father Jack Craig, sisters, Carrie and Cindy.
A service of remembrance is being planned for the spring/summer of 2024 and will be announced.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Casada Funeral Home & Crematory in Rawlins, WY.
