Saratoga volleyball faced off with Rock River last Friday afternoon at 4:00 in an away match. The Lady Panthers may have been caught looking ahead to the big match up with valley rival Encampment the next day and dropped the match 3 games to 1.
Several players turned in solid performances, keeping the opening two games tight, winning the third, before losing the deciding forth game. Gillian Creed contributed across the board with 18 assists, 22 digs, 4 kills and a block. Allie Condict had 13 assists, 10 digs and 3 kills. Josie Little showed up with 9 kills and 22 digs. Team captain Makenna King had 9 kills and 12 digs, Cassidy Herring 8 kills and 6 blocks. Other players of note were Sophia Diaz with 7 kills and 5 blocks and Madison Johnson with an impressive 18 digs and 25 receptions.
The final scores were; 22-25; 24-26; 25-12; 14-25. The Lady Panthers will play a match Tuesday afternoon (before we publish this week), against HEMHS and over Homecoming weekend on Friday afternoon at 1:00p versus Cokeville.
