Serving the Platte Valley since 1888
Еhe Saratoga Lady Panthers had a busy weekend participating in the Wind River Wyoming Indian Dual volleyball tournament on Friday September 1 and Saturday September 2. They played seven matches - four Friday, in Pavillion and three on Saturday in Ethete. It was a successful tournament for Saratoga, recording 5 wins and only two losses. But the overall record was only one of the positives according to Coach Lisa Teichman, since several players put in great performances throughout the fourteen games and, even more importantly, “ everyone saw the court for this tournament which is beneficial for not only the individual player but for the team as well’.
Senior Captain Mackenna King had 37 kills over the course of the action. Josie Little recorded 17 kills and 33 service receptions, followed by Piper Gray with 14 kills and an impressive 16 service aces. Sophia Diaz added 9 kills and Cassidy Herring 9.
Allie Condict contributed a team leading 56 assists, followed by Gillian Creed with 34. Madison Johnson had 24 service receptions.
The Lady Panthers will be in action again Thursday afternoon at 4:30 in Snake River and then have a quick turnaround playing Friday morning at home against Farson-Eden at 9:00.
