Opening game against North Park shows the power of the ladies

With the first game of the season in the books, the Lady Tigers smiled all the way home. North Park made them work, but the Tigers brought home the win. Head Volleyball Coach Janice Peterson said that the girls had a great opener with North Park last week. Beating North Park 3 - 0 with scores of 25-22. 25-13, and 25-20. Peterson said, “Serving percentages were high with Sami Anderson and Savannah Fagan leading at 100% each. Kristie Jordan and Kyenna Jackson had a 50% kill percentage and Eckerley Pickett led the team with 18 digs. Regin Stewart had the highest passing accuracy on the team. “

“Having each of our starters shine in varying areas really sets the stage for the strong season ahead. The skills are well balanced among players and when one player struggles, the others are able to recover well and raise their performance levels.Team goals and growth has been very targeted and players are responding well. This week we will get into conference play and that should provide great competition, “ Peterson said.
