Middle School Panthers Notch Road Win at Burns 24-14

Saratoga Middle School traveled to Burns Friday afternoon and came home with a well earned 24-14 win, in an 11 player format match-up. Coach Williams said the entire team played well. He cited the 6th grade players, who were seeing their first competitive action, as playing above expectations.

Brody Johnson saw offensive snaps at wide receiver, running back and on defense at safety. He accounted for three touchdowns. Hunter Johnston playing both ways as a running back and linebacker notched the other six points.

Always a great way to open the season with a road W. The team is off this weekend, and returns to action Friday September 8 against Meeker CO. That game will also be played 11 man. SMS will play four 11 player games, and three in the 9 player line up.
