Saratoga man believed to be on the run

Rawlins Police Department requests public's help in locating suspect and stolen truck, suspect believed to be armed and dangerous

A man with ties to Saratoga and the Platte Valley is on the run from the Rawlins Police Department following an incident on the evening of July 27.

According to a press release from the Rawlins Police Department, officers responded to a call about a suspicious person in an SUV at a business located on Airport Road. Upon arriving at the scene, one of the officers recognized the driver of the SUV as Wyatt Fluty, 29, of Saratoga. Fluty fled in the SUV until it crashed into a creek bed, then fled on foot. It was later discovered the SUV had been reported as stolen to police in Denver, Colorado.

After Fluty fled on foot, another vehicle was reported stolen, this one from the parking lot of the Rawlins Municipal Airport. It is believed the vehicle-described as a 1991 Chevrolet ½ ton regular cab pickup truck with step sides and a diamond plated box in the bed-was stolen by Fluty. The stolen truck has Wyoming license plates and had two rifles, one shotgun and one handgun at the time it was stolen.

The Rawlins Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for Fluty on felony charges and are requesting the public's help in locating Fluty. They consider him armed and dangerous. Anyone seeing either Fluty or the stolen truck are being advised not to approach either, but to call 911.
