Congresswomen Harriet Hageman visited Saratoga the evening of June 28, part of a 14 stop swing through the Cowboy State during the holiday recess. Speaking to a supportive audience of about 75 people, gathered in a meeting room at the Platte Valley Community Center, Representative Hageman offered an overview of several legislative issues at the Federal level, and their general impact on her Wyoming Constituents. These included two important matters on native lands throughout this region; healthcare and economic opportunity on reservations and pueblos. Members of the state legislature and the Carbon County Commissioners were in attendance. The Congresswomen was also accompanied by two members of her staff. There are field offices located in Cheyenne and Casper, where Wyoming residents can call or visit for assistance with any questions or problems related to any division of the Federal government. She noted that trying to secure passports seem to account for the majority of inquiries her offices are fielding currently.
