Encampment Tigers Track Team at the Classic at Kelly Walsh High School

Friday

Quade Jordan hit the ground running at the Kelly Walsh High School competition on Friday. The boys placed 27th with one team point. Quade Jordan place 8th in the Shot Put with 49.2 feet.

Head Track Coach Kegan Wilford said,”"It was great to see the Wyoming Track Classic come back for the first time in several years. It was also great to have Quade Jordan represent Encampment in the shot put. The track classic is a difficult meet to qualify for since only the top 9 get to go for each event in the entire state. Congratulations to Quade for earning the right to compete in this meet."

Saturday

Tiger Team Points: The lady Tigers got 8th place with 15 team points while the men Tigers got 8th place with 17 team points 

State Qualifiers:

For the girls, Kyenna Jackson in the Shot Put threw 35-04.00 and Kristie Jordan in the Shot Put threw 34-09.00 at the Laramie County Throw Off.  At the Kendra Roeder Invite, Kristie Jordan in the Discus threw 94-03.00.  

For the boys, Quade Jordan in the Shot Put threw 50-09.25 and 135-01.00 both at the Kendra Roeder Invite.    

Head Track Coach Kegan Wilford said, "We finally had great weather at a meet this year. With this, we also had a great day on the track as well. Just about everyone on our team had a personal best in an event. We also had several more athletes prequalify in different events, which will take some of the pressure off when we get to regionals."
