Michael Joe O'Leary

Michael Joe O'Leary, 36, of Denver Colorado, died in his home on April 11th, 2023. Michael was the eldest son born to Kenneth and Kathy O'Leary in Ely, Nevada, on Sept. 10, 1986. He attended Elementary, Middle and High School in Rawlins, Wyoming where he graduated in 2004. After graduation Michael spent many successful years in the oilfield in Wyoming working his way up to Driller. He found a passion for Health and fitness and eventually changed paths taking a Personal Coaching job at a well known gym in California in 2015. He returned to Wyoming in 2018 and continued his fitness and weightlifting coaching, along with other jobs in Wyoming and Colorado, to supplement his income. Michael had a love for adventure and spent most of his free time outdoors, rock climbing, snowmobiling, paddle boarding and hiking. He also enjoyed many trips with friends and family, card and board games and cheering on those he loved and coached in any of their competitions. Michael was preceded in Death by his brother, Ernie O'Leary, grandparents Fred and Ginger O'Leary, Joe and Alma Barnett and Rob Loftice

Michael is survived and will be deeply missed by his parents, Kathy and Johnny Powell of Jimtown, Oklahoma and Ken and Robin O'Leary of Encampment Wy. Grandma Vicki Loftice of Encampment, WY, sister Sierra Martinez and nephew Kodah Martinez of Saratoga, Wy, brothers Galloway and Sloan O'Leary of Encampment, Wy, lifelong friend Tim Carlson of Laramie, WY, several aunts, uncles and cousins and many other friends and clients he built relationships with over the years. Graveside services for Michael Joe O'Leary will occur at a later date at the Encampment Cemetery.
