Winds of Change

While change is seldom welcomed, it is often necessary.

It may appear from the outside looking in we are playing musical chairs here at the Saratoga Sun, but things are beginning to settling down into a routine here.

As your new editor/publisher I—Virginia Parker—hope you, our readers and advertisers, will be patient with us. Joshua Wood, the operations director, is training and cross-training the entire three person team which currently makes up the Saratoga Sun crew. He can't stay with us forever, so we are working hard to learn all we can before he has to move on to the next newspaper in need.

If we make a mistake, please bring it to our attention so we can address it immediately. We welcome our community voicing their comments and concerns and will take it to heart, doing what we can to meet your needs. I assure you we are streamlining processes and working to give you the best reading experience possible. Please hang in there with us as we smooth out all the ripples.

We hope to be attending more of the local events and meetings in Saratoga and Encampment than we have in the recent past or that we've missed. Please feel free to stop by and see us. We will be as transparent as we can with all that's happening. Monday and Tuesday can be a little hectic, but we will always welcome your visit.

Subscription renewal cards are being sent out, but we did get a little behind so I apologize if you didn't receive your paper. Please stop by sometime and pick up an issue.

Dee Dee Martz is our ad sales representative and will be sharing her amazing recipes under her new column, Dee Dee's Diner. Our cub reporter, Dallas Fields, will be covering meetings and events, as will I. Our email addresses are on page A4, but you can also reach out to us via phone as well.

I promise to uphold the highest degree of integrity, both for the newspaper and our staff. Expect nothing less from us as we move forward into the springtime sunshine.
