Wallace Clark Chesbro, Jr.

Wallace Clark Chesbro Jr.(Wally), 92 years old, passed away peacefully January 25th, 2023 at Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo, Wyoming. He was surrounded by his family.

Wally was born April 27th, 1930, in Waterloo, Iowa to Eathel and Wallace Chesbro.

Wally grew up and attended school in Casper, WY. He joined the Navy served on the USS Rowan during the Korean War. In 1957 he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Range Management from the University of Colorado.

He married Docia Carroll and together they raised seven children. Following their divorce in 1988 he married Bonnie Shellhorn.

He was an avid backpacker and fisherman. He loved to play cribbage, travel and visit with his family. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and was a Boy Scout leader for many years. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Wallace and Eathel, stepmother Ruth (Wickwire), wife, Bonnie, son, Alan, sister Joann Sorenson and her husband Scott, and son in law, Ed Katen.

He is survived by his daughters Vicki (Jay) Ward of Encampment, WY, and Peggy Katen of Glenrock, WY. His sons Cameron (Shirley) Chesbro of Buffalo, WY, Clark (Belinda) Chesbro of Buffalo, WY, Bryan (Michele) of Harrison, New York, Brant Chesbro of Sedona, AZ, and niece Michelle (Sean) DeVore of Casper, WY, 13 grandchildren, and 18 great- grandchildren.
