The Saratoga Hot Springs Resort and Spa brings back the popular game
Bingo! That is one word that has not been heard by many residents in Saratoga in years, unless they happen to be residents at the Saratoga Care Center or a visitor to The Senior Center.
Bingo has not been offered to the public in the valley for quite a few years. There was a time when the American Legion and the Odd Fellows hosted bingo but stopped doing it.
This past Wednesday night, laughter and fun was had by all who attended The Saratoga Hot Springs Resort and Spa’s Bingo Night. The turnout was quite unexpected for this first event. All ages were welcomed to play. Young and old enjoyed the fun together.
Prizes were offered for every round. One winner received dinner for 2 and free appetizers totaling around $500.00. Another winner of a blackout hand won a gift certificate for a free dessert.
There were some free rounds. Extra cards were available to purchase for $5.00. There are quite a few people who can easily play more than one card at a time.
The Saratoga Resort and Spa is planning to offering a fun bingo menu in the future for those who would like to eat while playing. It is hoped bingo will become a weekly, if not monthly activity offered to the community and guests of the resort.
The next Bingo night is going to be held on Wednesday February 8, 2023. Doors will open at 5:00 pm and the first game starts at 5:30. If you bring a food donation, you will be given an extra card for one round.
