Encampment celebrates homecoming
To say the turnout for the Encampment Tigers Homecoming game was overwhelming would be an understatement. The bleachers were full of both Encampment fans and Little Snake River supporters.
The walls of the school were covered in art work created by each class, from Kindergarten to Seniors. The 8th grade won the competition with their "Tigers are at the Peak", the Senior class came in second with "BioTiger", followed by the Freshman with "Lord of the Tiger". Doors were also covered with art work. First place for the door art was 6th grade with 'How to Beat a Rattler', second place went to the 1st grade with 'Indeed We are Going to Succeed', followed by the kindergarten with 'Then You Should Know That Everyone Runs From the Tigers'.
The cake auction was in full throttle with 80 cakes and donations that included tin work, green chili and biscuits and various other goodies. The EClub Cake Auction broke their record by raising $33,825.00 for the support of athletics. The bidding got hot and heavy on occasion but everyone had a wonderful time and the generosity of the community was touching.
