Lady Tigers first games show off skills

Encampment girls win one, lose one at the Carbon County Classic

The Encampment Lady Tigers basketball team came out swinging in their first conference games of the season. Coach Clint Bromley said, "With one win and two losses you are disappointed, but you get to reflect on what improvements you need to make before the conference season begins. We were fortunate to get a win over Dubois 55-52,  Cora Schroeder and Kayla Smith scored 17 each and Eckerley Pickett had 9.

We were not as fortunate versus Burlington in a 67-39 loss. Kyenna Jackson had 10, Cora Schroeder 9 and Allison Bromley 8 in a game that was decided in the first half.

In the final game we lost to a good team from Rock River 53-47. I felt this was one of the best games of the tournament even with the loss as it told us what our team really needed to improve on and that is conditioning. Our senior girls had an outstanding game with Cora Schroeder scoring 25 points and Kyenna Jackson 14".
