Encampment Tigers roared through the weekend

Tigers end weekend with three wins

The Encampment Tigers headed into the season with a young team, said Head Coach Jake Johnston.

The first game against Midwest ended in a wide point spread with the Tigers walloping the Midwest Oilers 66-26.

Three hours later the Tigers faced the Dubois Rams and left them in the dirt with a win of 52-44. Coach Johnston said he felt "the weekend went well." He was able to play different combinations of players and see what they need to work on.

Saturday morning was a downer for the Tigers with a loss to the Burlington's Huskies, 56-18, but the Tigers didn't let the loss affect them. A few hours later they crushed Rock River's Longhorns winning 64-41.

The Tigers, now 3-1, were supposed to play North Park in Walden on Tuesday, but winter blew in and the game was cancelled.

Their next game will be in Yoder, against the Southeast Cyclones on December 16 at 11:30 am.
