Forest Road Men Breaking Camp

Cold weather and Frost cause interruption of construction work-

Will be resumed next spring

The road crew which has been engaged the past few weeks on the Brush Creek Road, to be built from the Brush Creek ranger station to Headquarters Park, has stopped work for this season and most of the employees have gone to Rawlins to take employment on the refinery work going on near the city.

About one mile of the new highway has been completed, and considerable work done on another mile or more, in clearing the right of way and preliminary grading and construction work. When completed, this section of highway will be about eight miles in length, and will allow automobiles to drive within a short distance of the fine fishing to be found in many lakes in the neighborhood of Headquarters Park.

It is confidently expected that plans will be worked out next year whereby this road can be completed through from Headquarters park to Brooklyn Lake, to connect with the road from Laramie to that point. It is stated the road crews will be back on this job as soon as the frost is out of the ground next spring.

Encampment Church building fund campaign off to flying start

Beginning the week of November 10th, the Encampment Presbyterian Church building fund committee will begin their community driver for additional funds on new building project.

The initial funds of $3,805.00 were raised at a congregational meeting held October 5th in the City Hall, at that time the need for the drive was explained. To the present date the total amount subscribed is $4,305.00 making an average contribution per contributor of $135.

The committee feels that with the half-way mark reach, that by the end of next week's activities we can be over the top of our $8,000.00 goal and ready to start construction of this much needed Sunday School and recreation building addition to our present church. The following committee will carry on this campaign: Leonard Turner, John Miller, Robert Peryam, Henry Finch, Elton Trowbridge, Reed Higby, Adrian Wolfard, and Mr. and Mrs.Ronald Wolfard.
