Emergency Services at the top of the list

Riverside Town Council Incumbents carry on

Helen Weiland, South Central Wyoming Emergency Services (SCWEMS) representative, and SCWEMS Director, Stanton Moseby presented Resolution 2022-5 and gave a report to the Council at the November 10, 2022 meeting. The resolution is to allow SCWEMS to apply for the American Rescue Plan Act ARPA grant. This would provide money to help fund Emergency Medical Response (EMR) classes and to purchase two SUV type vehicles to be stationed at the Encampment Station and Elk Mountain. These vehicles would carry all of the equipment needed to provide basic care to patients.

Weiland also reported that she closed the restrooms at the Rick Martin Memorial Park.

Mayor Leroy Stephenson presented the bid proposal to build the new restroom to the Council via email. The council decided to wait to advertise the bid proposal in the Saratoga Sun December 5 and mail postcards to local contractors with bid information. Bids are due by the next council meeting on February 9, 2023 and will be opened at this council meeting. Completion will be expected by June 15, 2023.

Lee Ann Stephenson, Sierra Madre Joint Powers Board representative, reported that Terry Campbell’s seat has expired, but he has agreed to continue.

John Smith resigned from the board. He represented the district of Riverside.

The next Riverside Town Council meeting will be December 8, 2022 at 6 pm at the Riverside Town Council.
