Encampment Lady Tigers snuffed out by the Little Snake River Lady Rattlers
The Lady Tigers went to Lander to win, but they just couldn't quite get their feet under them. Their first loss to Riverside's Lady Rebels was 3-1, but they picked up a win when Burlington's Lady Huskies came to the court. The Tigers left that came with a 3-0 win. The Little Snake River Rattlers have been hard to beat all year and this day was no different. The Tigers gave it everything they had, but the Rattlers kept them from win in 3 matches.
Coach Robin Brown said, "The girls definitely played their hearts out. This was the first time most of them have played in a regional volleyball tournament, so there were a lot of nerves and emotions. They did a great job of focusing that energy and playing to a high level throughout the weekend. The team that we have been striving to be showed up at regionals and we played a lot of really good volleyball. It was fun to see several of our underclassmen perform well above their years and exhibit skills and leadership. Unfortunately, we came up a little short in the final game and ended our road to the state tournament. I am a very proud coach for how far these kids grew both as volleyball players and as young ladies".
