Saratoga Lady Panthers came in like a storm Thursday, Saturday not so much
The Lady Panthers barely let the Lady Tigers take a breath. They took three matches to win the game on Thursday on their own court. The first match ended 25-17, second match was 25-13 and the third match 25-3. Whitney Bennett slammed the ball over the net with 12 kills followed closely by Makenna King and Shelby Knotwell.
Coach Shayley Love had this to say, "Thursday's game against Encampment was a good solid game for our girls. We kept our composure and everyone did their job on the floor to get a conference win. I was most proud of the girls for keeping the game flowing. Encampment has a talented group of girls and when they get things to start clicking for them they will be very competitive. Being such a mental game I thought we did a nice job of refocusing and doing the little things to win the match".
The Panthers took on Cokeville Saturday and didn't fare as well. Unfortunately Cokeville's Lady Panthers didn't let the Saratoga Panthers have much of a shot. Cokeville won all three matches, 25-12, 25-14 and 25-16. Coach Love said, "Cokeville we struggled a bit. Cokeville is a program that has tradition and produces great athletes. I feel if we can get momentum from the beginning with them we will play a more competitive match".
The Lady Panthers play Farson-Eden Thurdsday at 4 p.m.
