SMHS gets into the spirit

Ghosts, goblins and goodies to make an apearance at the Saratoga gym.

The Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) and Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) students at Saratoga Middle High school will be hosting a Fall Festival and Haunted House on Saturday, October 29th at the Platte Valley Community Center Gymnasium. The kids festival games will start at 6 pm and are free. The Haunted house will open at 7:30 pm for two hours. Admission is $5 for adults and students, elementary school students admission is $3.

Dinner will also be served at $6 per person or family donation.

According to instructor, Briana Williams, the purpose of these courses is to promote personal growth and leadership development. She hopes to provide opportunities for students to prepare for adult life through strengthening family, encouraging individual and group involvement in the community, promote greater understanding between youth and adults, and provide opportunities for making decisions and assuming responsibility. This event will teach students to plan and produce a large event for the community.

They have been working very hard to make this a memorable time and are very grateful to the Saratoga Recreation Department for their willingness to host this event.
