Encampment Lady Tigers attack at the Thermopolis tournament
The Tigers found the Little Snake River Rattlers ready to fight. The Tigers fell to the Rattlers 21-8 and 21-19, leaving that game at 2-0. They were challenged by Burlington’s Lady Huskies, winning both games with 21-14 in the first match and 21-19 in the second. The Tigers brought their game when they tore into Big Piney’s Punchers winning 2-0 with 21-19 and 21-10.
The Tigers encounter with Shoshoni didn’t go as well as they planned, losing both matches by only 3 points at 21-18.
Coach Robin Brown said, “We started off a little rough, but got rolling as the day went on. We played really good volleyball against some really tough teams. Tournaments are so great because the girls grow so much as a team and it really showed with the amount of true attacks we were able to get compared to hustle plays that didn’t pan out into points. It was a great weekend with a lot of physical and mental team growth. We are looking forward to next weekend”.
