Carbon County School District No. 2 bus briver training keeping kids safe a priority
With school starting, child safety is a major concern to all parties involved with their care. On August 17, a District wide training was held in Encampment for all bus drivers in CCSD#2. Training included mountain driving, engine brakes, tire chains, road safety, tailgating, stop sign violations, proper use of handheld radios and active shooter. There were 12 participants attending.
Shannon Fagan, a certified Wyoming State Trainer said that the Encampment School Bus Barn has been named a Certified State Training facility for CCSD#2.
Encampment Chief of Police, Kevin Shue, provided the training for Active Shooter.
Annual training of at least six hours is required for all licensed bus drivers in the State of Wyoming.
