Riverside Party Day is August 20, 2022.

Mayor Leroy Stephenson presented a rough draft for new restrooms. The estimate from Brad Hebig was $82,000. Mayor Stephenson will write the specifications and a request for bid will be published in the newspaper for 4 weeks.

The council approved the expenditure of $2,500 for the purchase of six vinyl coated park benches and a basketball backboard.

There was an issue with the sewer. Joe McVey installed new vacuum plates, tuned it up and it is running smooth according to Mayor Stephenson.

Councilmember Fred Lorenz made a motion to publish bids for the sale of the road groomer. This motion was approved by the Council.

LeeAnn Stephenson was not present so Mayor Stephenson read the report she had prepared. The Siera Madre Joint Powers Board (SMJPB) advised the tank lining project will begin August 22 and will take approximately two weeks to complete. The well pumps willl be shut down and the water in the tank will be used down to about 20 feet. Then they will hook up to the Encampment water system. The tank will be drained once that is complete. Mayor Stephenson reminded the council that there will be water running down from the tank location so there is no need for alarm.

The Town of Encampment voted last month not to charge for the water usage. An estimated $2,000 value.

With the installation of the new meters and the electronic measurement update, the town is now operating the most efficient and accurate pumping and billing system than was previously operated.

Riverside Resolution 2022-2 was ratified.

The next regular meeting of the Riverside Town Council will be at 6 p.m. September 8, 2022 at the Riverside Town Hall.
