This week at the Saratoga Care Center

On Monday, residents exercised to Sittercise in the morning. Residents listened to a 2016 Saratoga Sun article about the Prisoner of war camp in Ryan Park from 1943 to 1945 in the afternoon. After they did Trivia of Famous animals in entertainment. The last one was Rudolf. After that residents broke out in song, singing Rudolf the red nosed Reindeer.

On Tuesday, residents played Ring Toss and Ladder Toss, while listening to disco music in the morning. Arts and Crafts had residents making bird feeders with pine cones, peanut butter and birdseed in the afternoon.

On Wednesday, residents enjoyed the ever popular Hair and Nail Care in the morning. Residents played Bingo in the afternoon. Susan Sampson, Ruby Ross, Kenny Hoaglund, Sandra Vela won Regular, Four Corners and Blackout Bingos. Other residents won candy.

On Thursday, residents played miniature golf in the morning. Finalists included Susan Sampson, Sandra Vela, ruby Ross and Carol Clemetson. Also, residents listened to this week’s Saratoga Sun article of activities in the nursing home last week. In the afternoon, residents made and ate chocolate coated bananas.

On Friday, residents listened to Today in History, Today’s News and the Saratoga Sun in the morning. Residents played Bingo in the afternoon. Ruby Ross and Kenny Hoaglund won quarters in regular, Four Corners and Blackout Bingos. Other residents won candy.

On Saturday, residents watched a movie and had popcorn in the morning. residents listened to music in the dining room in the morning. A social in the afternoon offered sweet treats and coffee.

On Sunday, residents watched a movie and had popcorn n the morning. Pastor gene Smith of the Platte Valley Christian Center led church in the afternoon. The Activity Director and her assistants once again offered a great bunch of fun activities throughout the week, both mornings and afternoons.
