Iris 'Kathi' Wallace

Kathi passed away July 12 at UC Health in Loveland Colorado, from a underlying medical condition with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. She was born in Denver Colorado in 1942.

She had two children with her first marriage to Richard Schutte. After their devorced she and the children moved to Carbon County. In 1974 she married Ray Wallace and added two stepsons to her family.

In her early years she enjoyed dancing with a rock band, drag racing the boys, riding horses and fishing with her Dad. Some of her favorite things were spending time with her kids, grandkids, great grandkids, sisters, family and friends, sewing, drawing, arranging flowers,  reading, watching movies, she always cherished the American flag and Americana, decorating her yard, collecting red trucks, the Red Hat Society, QVC, buying clothes, dressing up and going all out for Christmas. Her present time  was spent with weekly gatherings and dinners with the girls, belonging to the Platte Valley Kiwanis, being active in the community and working at Laura M.

She was survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kinee and Louis Waits, her son's and daughter-in- laws Matt and Cindy Schutte, Randy and Susan Wallace, Rich and Karen Wallace. Seven grandkids Tabetha Vang, Ryan and Sierra Schutte, Amanda Shahaday, Rich Jr and Jackie Wallace, Jennifer Lartz and six great grandkids Kale and Ariah Vang, Koen and Joleigh Shahaday,, Kayle Williams and Samantha Mayo. Sisters and -In-laws Louise and Richard Reeder, Shirley and Daryl Klassen, Jenny and Andy Anderson, other family James and Marilyn Godfrey and Sharon Conway.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Ray Wallace, her Parents Fred and Fern Conway, her Brother Fred 'Buzz' Conway and sister Linda Godfrey.

Kathis' celebration of life will be September 3rd, time and place will be posted at Perue Printing and online at a later date.
