Laramie woman arrested

Arrest follows investigation of incident near Seminoe Reservoir in May

A 28-year-old Laramie, Wyoming woman is facing two felony charges and two counts of child endangerment as the result of an investigation following an incident in May near Miracle Mile.

According to a press release from the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), on May 21, at approximately 4 p.m., the CCSO received a report from the Nation County Sheriff’s Office about a possible child abuse incident which occurred in the Miracle Mile area north of Seminoe Dam.

Sergeant John Moore and Deputy Caleb Schultz responded to the area and found the campsite where the alleged incident had occurred. Also responding to the scene was Dale Miller, investigator for the CCSO.

Miller, according to the press release, received information from Detective Sergeant Taylor Courtney of the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office about what his office had uncovered concerning the alleged abuse. Based upon the information provided, Miller traveled to Casper, Wyoming to assist Courtney and his staff in conducting several interviews regarding the incident. During the interviews, the identify of the suspect, witness and victim were determined.

Due to the results of the investigation, Danisha Bynum has been charged with felony child abuse, two counts of endangering a child and felony possession of a controlled substance. The controlled substance was later determined to be methamphetamine. The children in question were taken into protective custody and are currently with the Department of Family Services.

According to the press release from the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office, the case is still ongoing and no further information was available as of press time.
