Throwing the distance

The Encampment Tiger Track team had a harsh meet in Casper for the State finals. With colder weather making the three day event more fidget than usual. Quade Jordan was able to secure 1st place in both throwing events. Making Jordan a two time State Champion for the Encampment Tigers. This was the final event for the Encampment Tiger track team with more progress to be made next spring. 

“The weather made it tough for two of the three days of state, but in the end we still had some kids perform really well.  We have a fairly young track team and hope to build off of some of the success we had this season.  Congratulations to Quade for sweeping the throwing events this year.” Said Head Coach Keegan Willford. 

Girls State Results

Kristie Jordan took 3rd place in shot put with a distance of 34 feet3.5 inches. In discus Jordan had a distance of 77 feet 10 inches. Jordan in the 100 meter hurdles took 6th place with a time of 17.26 seconds. In the 300 meter hurdles Jordan took 7th place with a time of 51.42 seconds. 

Cora Schroeder in shot put had a distance of 26 feet 10 inches. In the high jump Schroeder took 7th place with a height of 4 feet 6 inches. 

Kyenna Jackson in shot put had a distance of 27 feet 6.75 inches. 

Allison Bromley took 7th place in the 1600 meter  run with a time of 6 minutes. In the 3200 meter run Bromley took 5th place with a time of 13 minutes37 seconds. In the 100 meter dash Bromley had a time of 14.6 seconds. 

Eckerley Pickett in the 100 meter dash had a time of 14.7 seconds. In the 200 meter dash Pickett had a time of 30.93 seconds. In the 100 meter hurdles Pickett had a time of 19.2 seconds. 

In the 4 x 100 meter relay the Encampment Lady Tigers took 7th place with a time of 58.01 seconds. The race was ran  by Kayla Smith, Eckerley Pickett, Cora Schroeder, and Allison Bromley

Boys State Results

Quade Jordan took his 1st place spot in shot put with a distance of 47 feet 2 inches earning a state champion title. In discus Jordan also took 1st place with a distance of 129 feet 2 inches earning a second state champion title. In the 100 meter dash Jordan has a time of 12.88 seconds. 

Michael Anderson in the high jump reached heights of 5 feet  4 inches. 

Koye Gilbert in shot put had a distance of 37 feet 3 inches. In discus Gilbert had a distance of 119 feet and 11 inches taking 5th place. 

Kaben Pickett in shot put had a distance of 37 feet 10.25 inches. In discus Pickett had a distance of 93 feet 10 inches. 

Lane LaBorde in shot put had a distance of 34 eet 2.5 inches. 

Bryce Reid in the 110 hurdles took 5th place with a time of 18.38 seconds. 

In the 4x100 meter relay the Encampment Tigers took 7th place with a time of 50.1 seconds. The race was ran by Lane LaBorde, Quade Jordan, Kaben Pickett, and Michael Anderson.
