Tigers hit Torrington

Encampment track and field sees good placings at Wiseman Invite ahead of regionals

The Encampment Tiger track team traveled to Torrington for the Wiseman Invite over the weekend. Twelve teams total participated in the event.

The Jordan siblings left their mark in shot put. Quade Jordan placed 1st in shot put and Kristie Jordan Placed 2nd in girls shot put for the Tiger team. 

Girls Results

Cora Schroeder had a distance of 30 feet in shot put. Schroeder also had a distance of 68 feet and 1 inch in the discus. In the high jump Schroeder had a height of 4 feet 3 inches. 

Kristie Jordan took 2nd place in shot put with a distance of 32 feet 6 inches. In discus, Jordan had a distance of 84 feet . In the 100 meter hurdles Jordan took 8th place with a time of 17.77 seconds. Jordan took 5th place in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 53.92 seconds. 

Allison Bromley had a time of 14.42 seconds in the 100 meter dash. Bromley also had a time of 1 minute, 9.87seconds in the 400 meter dash. 

Kayla Smith, in the 100 meter dash, had a time of 15.73 seconds. In the 200 meter dash Smith had a time of 32.53 seconds. 

Boys Results

Quade Jordan took 1st place in shot put with a distance of 50 feet, 3 inches. 

Koye Gilbert had a distance of 39 feet, 2 inches in shot put. In discus, Gilbert took 8th place with a distance of 120 feet, 4 inches.

Lane LaBorde had a distance of 33 feet, 9.5  inches in shot put. LeBorde also had a distance of 68 feet, 7 inches in discus. 

Gunner Knotwell had a time of 27.89 seconds in the 200 meter dash. 

Baylin Sifford, in the 100 meter dash, had a time of 13.73 seconds. In the long jump Sifford had a distance of 14 feet, 1.5 inches. 

Ben Wagy had a distance of 31 feet in shot put. In discus Wagy threw for a distance of 91 feet, 2 inches. In the 200 meter dash Wagy had a time of 32.02 seconds. 

Owen Tanner had a time of 15.25 seconds in the 100 meter dash. In the 400 meter dash Tanner had a time of 1 minute, 8.31 seconds. 

The regular season has ended for the Encampment Tigers. Their next meet will be May 13 and 14 in Shoshoni as they compete in the 1A West Regional Invite.
