Glen Maurice Parker, 91 of Columbus Junction, Iowa, formerly of Saratoga Wyoming, died Sunday, April 24, at his home.
His body has been cremated and private services will be held at a later date.
Glen was born April 16, 1931, at Ft. Washakie, Wy, the son of Clarence Leslie and Mary Margaret (Powell) Parker.
He was a graduate of Fremont County Vocational High School in Lander, Wyoming.
He was united in marriage to Charlene Pelham, whom he later divorced.
He served with the US Army in Korea for 21 months and was a life member of the American Legion.
Glen was a Master Electrician, becoming one of the first in Wyoming.
He enjoyed rendezvous, fishing, and flying small aircraft.
He was a Legion Commander, motocross racer, a Golden Glove boxer, a baseball coach, and most of all, a beloved father.
Glen was preceded in death by his daughter Cynthia Brown, formerly of Salt Lake City
His surviving children are Forrest J. Parker of Columbus Junction, Iowa. Cordell L. Parker of Saratoga, Wyoming. Matthew T. Parker of Rock Ford, Colorado.
Glennita Welp of Strawsburg, Colorado. Mary Pittman of Casper, Wyoming, and Martha Hodges of Russellville, Arkansas.
His surviving siblings are Forrest A. Parker and Carol Coates, both of Lander, Wyoming.
He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
