Jeffrey Mincy has been named CEO of the Platte Valley Clinic and Saratoga Care Center and will head administrative operations of the North Platte Valley Medical Center when construction is complete in the summer of 2022, the Platte Valley Healthcare Project has announced.
According to PVHP Chairman Will Faust, Mincy was selected from a field of multiple candidates by Health Management Services, LLC (HMS) which is under contract to oversee administrative operations at the facilities.
Prior to accepting this post, Mincy had been clinic administrator and director of patient experience as well as the safety/emergency management coordinator for the Coryell County Hospital Authority in Gatesville, TX since 2009. He was responsible for physician contracting and compliance oversite, financial oversite and oversite for customer service which saw large gains during his tenure. He also managed expansion from a single hospital-based clinic and one rural health clinic to six satellite clinics. He additionally supervised the county's 911 EMS services.
Mincy gained initial experience during service as a hospital corpsman in the U.S. Navy and later went on to lead civilian EMS units with Fort Bend and Waller Counties as well as with Critical Air Medicine and Scott & White EMS in Texas.
He received both a bachelor's and a master's degree in Healthcare Management from the Texas Tech University Health Science Center and his department was named the Texas Department of State Health Service EMS Provider of the Year in 2015.
"We're pleased HMS has found such a well-qualified leader as we start to move into the final phases of our building program," Faust said. "We look forward to his help as we transition the Clinic and Care Center into the hospital next year."
