Saratoga battles Lady Rattlers, Rock River

Lady Panthers go 0-2 at home and away against LSRV and Lady Longhorns

Saratoga Lady Panther volleyball had games both at home and away this past week. Though there wasn't a win for the Lady Panther netters this time around, they certainly put up a fight against both Little Snake River Valley and Rock River.

Panthers Vs. Rattlers

The Little Snake River Valley Lady Rattlers bit into the Lady Panthers on their own court Thursday night as Saratoga lost 0-3. The 1st set was neck-and-neck ending at 26-28. The 2nd set was lost by 10 points with a score of 15-25.

The Lady Panthers clawed their way though the last set to reduce the lead with only a five point difference at the end of the third set at 20-25. Whitney Bennett led the team in kills with 8 followed by Makenna King with 7 kills and Shelby Knotwell with 6 kills. With 2 aces each, Bennett And Hanna Larthrop made a team total of 4 aces for the game. With a total of 42 digs for the game the Lady Panthers gave their all for the game Thursday.

Panthers Vs. Longhorns

The Lady Panthers and the Lady Longhorns faced off Friday on Rock Rivers' turf. Playing a full five sets the Lady Panther netters came in strong on their first two sets at 25-19 and 25-16. The 3rd set is where things started to change at 23-25 for the Lady Longhorns. The next two sets went to the Longhorns as well with 14-25 and 14-16.

The Lady Panthers have a full week of games with a Tuesday night game against Hanna and facing off against Farson/Eden in the SMHS gym at 4:30 p.m. on September 18.
