Saratoga Cross Country sees top placings in Lander on September 2

The Saratoga Cross Country team trekked up to central Wyoming on Thursday as they competed at the Lander Invitational. While there, both men’s and women’s teams placed well early in the season.

Men at Lander

Grant Bartlett led the men’s varsity team on September 2, placing 1st as he finished with a time of 17 minutes, 45 seconds. Twin brother Grady Bartlett wasn’t far behind as finished in 3rdr place with a time of 18 minutes, 25 seconds. 

Calvin Condict placed 11th in Lander, finishing with a time of 20 minutes, 28 seconds and Kelton Johnson placed 20th with a time of 22 minutes.

Women at Lander

In the women’s junior varsity, freshman runners Milan Scott and Aspen Sewell placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Scott finished with a time of 25 minutes, 33 seconds and Sewell finished with a time of 25 minutes, 38 seconds.

In varsity, Rhiwan Williams led the women’s team as she finished with a time of 23 minutes, 9 seconds to come in 3rd place. Marilee Williams followed just seconds after, finishing with a time of 23 minutes, 33 seconds and coming in 5th place. Madi Teichman came in 10th place as she finished with a time of 24 minutes, 6 seconds and Jaden Campbell finished with a time of 28 minutes, 54 seconds to come in 22nd place.

This weekend, Saratoga will head south as they compete in Littleton, Colorado on September 11. The next two meets afterwards will be much closer to home as they compete in the Rawlins Invite on September 17 and host the Shana Ward Memorial Invite on September 24.
