Lila J. Worden died August 9th, 2021 at the age of 85.
Lila June Harrington Worden was born on a farm in Lyndale, Minnesota on June 22, 1936 to Reginald and Leona Vollrath Harrington. In 1941, they moved to Colorado where they lived in small gold and coal mining towns until 1951 when they moved to Hanna, Wyoming. After graduating from Hanna High School in 1954, she moved to Rawlins where she worked as a telephone operator. She was married to Joseph Peach in November 1955. They had three children; Rodney, Brian and Janet. She was divorced from Joe Peach in 1972.
In January 1982 she married Marvin J. Warden of Saratoga. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin, her parents, her sister Irene Schmuck and her brother James Harrington. She is survived by son Rodney Peach (Jacque) of Rawlins, son Brian Peach (Irene) of Laramie, daughter Janet Peach of Las Vegas, Nevada and three stepchildren Lannette, Leah and Linda; five grandchildren, Amber Smith (Josh), Mandy Moon (Brent), Kandis Bakken (Alex), Kelly Peach and Robert Peach; 10 great grandchildren, Stormy, J.D. Josie and Joshua Smith, Memphis Smith, Abby Sharp, Brian and Jackson Crain; and three great-great grandchildren.
She enjoyed fishing, golf, gardening, sewing and friends. She worked 19 years for CCSD No. 1, also the Saratoga Inn, USPS and Kaspar Oil.
Her favorite color was turquoise, favorite flower the rose.
During her life time she made over 600 prayer shawls for Saratoga and the surrounding area.
A memorial service will be held on August 27, 2021 at 10 a.m. at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Saratoga, Wyoming.
