Screenings to be held in Valley and Hanna area
The Wyoming Health Fairs and Wellness Health Fairs (WHF) will be returning to the Valley and the Hanna area in 2021.
While cancelled in 2020 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19), longtime users of the WHF will be able to use the services once again.
The Encampment chapter of Beta Sigma Phi and the Valley Service Organization in Saratoga have worked together, again, this year to bring the WHF to area residents. As in years past, the WHF will feature a slate of various screenings including a blood chemistry panel, hemogram with differential, hemoglobin A1C, PSA screening for men, vitamin screenings and thyroid screenings.
Included in the screenings this year will be the COVID-19 antibody testing. Overall, a total of 19 screenings will be available to residents ranging in price from $30 for a thyroid panel to $82 for the COVID-19 antibody test.
WHF recommends fasting for 12 hours prior to the blood draw, unless you are diabetic, and consultation with your physician before and after tests. All WHF tests are non-diagnostic and intended for wellness purposes only. Results are typically available online within 3-5 business days and are mailed within 7-10 business days.
The Hanna screening will take place between 6:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. on April 20 at the Hanna Recreation Center. The Saratoga screening will take place between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. on April 21 and April 22. The Encampment screening will take place between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. on April 23 and April 24.
While walk-ins are still accepted, appointments can be made by calling 1-800-979-3711 or visiting whf.health/appointments.
