Cary (Carroll Anthony) Pyle passed peacefully in his home in Sun City West, Arizona, on March 17, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones.
Cary was born December 23, 1948, in Kerrville, Texas to Ed and Mary Ann Pyle. In 1993, he met the love of his life, Judy.
As a petroleum geologist, Cary loved to prospect and he spent many years as a volunteer firefighter in Conifer, Colorado before moving to Saratoga, Wyoming, where he continued his firefighting and was a beloved bus driver for the local school district.
Although Cary's face would light up whenever he saw any dog, he loved his huskies; the most beloved of which were Tara, Cody, Willow and Smokey. He had a passion for fly fishing, wood carving, camping, gold prospecting, playing the guitar and learning to play the mandolin.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Nix; son Jacob Nix; daughters (and their husbands) Jennifer Vincent (Michael) and Erin Besen (Adam); loving grandchildren Audrey, Lorielle, Clive and Adeline; and brothers Ron (Ronald) Pyle and Jerry (Gerald) Pyle.
The family will hold a small memorial service at his beloved Platte River in Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Online donations can be made at https://donate.lls.org/lls/donate.
