Desmend Michel Martinez

Desmend Michel Martinez, resident of Rawlins, passed away on March 7, 2021.

Desmend was born on May 7, 1997 in Laramie, Wyoming to Merissa Martinez and Timothy Martinez.

He graduated from Rawlins High School in 2016, married Sierra on August 20, 2016 and was employed by WYDOT as a Maintenance Technician.

When Desmend would walk into a room you always noticed his big smile! He loved his family and adored his son. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his Grandpa Robert and his many cousins. He loved working for WYDOT by making the roads safe for all. Especially driving that big truck.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Sierra; son, Kodah; mom, Merissa; dad, Tim; step-father, Arsenio; siblings Jullion, Aliana, Jacob, Julia and step-siblings Sierra, Chantelle, Olivia, and Arsenio.

He is survived by his parents Timothy Paul Martinez, Merissa Sonya Martinez of Laramie; siblings Jullion & Aliana Lemus of Laramie, Wyoming and Jacob and Julia Pacheco of Rawlins; grandparents Robert and Jody Martinez of Rawlins and Ernest Martinez of Rawlins; Aunts Andrea Martinez of Layton, Utah, and Desiree Gomez of Rawlins; Uncles Ernest (Sadie) Martinez of Rawlins, Christopher Martinez of Alaska, and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

He is preceded in death by Grandma Mary Jane Martinez, Alfred and Mercy Herrera.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the Jacoby Funeral Home located at 702 W. Walnut Street, Rawlins, Wyoming.
