HEM ranks 16th overall at Don Runner
The Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow (HEM) High School wrestling team went to the Don Runner Invite in Pavillion this weekend. They sent six wrestlers to compete
The event drew 22 teams. With so many teams attending, the HEM team may not have gotten as many team points as larger schools with more wrestlers, but still came in number 16.
The Miners had two wrestlers place, both in the 195 weight class. Joseph Bora came in 4th and scored 18 team points. Aydn Welk placed 5th.
Another wrestler who added points for the team was Josh Curtis wrestling at 152. He scored four points.
Howard Bame at 106, Thomas Wagner at 126 and Charlee Solaas also at 126 all got more experience on the mat although they did not end up with any points.
The next scheduled meet is January 23 in North Park.
